Salem’s Lizzie Borden Museum – The Actress/Witch Connection

24 Jun

A few months ago it was on the internet about the new Lizzie Borden Museum in Salem. It’s supposed to be the “true story” with interactive displays. They’ll be opening “soon”. Some pages at their web site are not yet completed and the phone numbers are no good. Click below to go to their web page.

Salem’s Lizzie Borden Museum

As we all know, this famous case is based in Fall River – not Salem. But hey, they are into witches in Salem – it’s big business – and Elizabeth Montgomery not only played a witch on t.v. but she also played Lizzie Borden in Paramount’s 1975 made-for-t.v. movie, The Legend of Lizzie Borden. So Salem gave Montgomery a statue. Lizzie, rightfully, deserved at least a museum. 😉

Leonard Pickel from Boston is putting the whole thing together and will be using some of my rare collectibles as exhibits on loan.
