Collectibles for Sale

From the “Comments” section on my blog comes this nice remark from Keith about my Lizzie Borden collectibles.  I’ve been giving lots away over the past year and have just dug up more from storage.  I have original Porters, Rebello’s, Knowlton Papers, etc. etc.  Email me what you’re interested in and I’ll send you images.

I’ll also be posting more stuff sale here in the very near future.

“Hi Faye,

I just received the Lizzie Borden CD and all I can say is WOW! You have amassed an incredible amount of information – it is a “Lizzie Fan’s” dream.

Thank you so much for sending it as well as the other Lizzie artifacts.

I’ve been collecting on Fall River and the Lizzie Borden case since 1969, and on other true crime since 1962. Over the years I have acquired books, magazines, journals, letters, diaries, photographs, coins, glassware, various emphera, one-of-a-kinds, clothing, maps, etc. For the past 2 years I’ve been downsizing, i.e., giving things away and donating to the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast.

Now, having sifted through boxes, filing cabinets, rubber containers, etc. from a storage shed, I intend to reduce the volume even more. So much of my collectibles are in duplicate or triplicate or other multiples and I’ve indicated as such below.

If you see something you want, email me at with an offer. All sales are OBO. I will be listing more every few days – so keep checking in.

I was wondering if you’ll be selling the Lizzie plate & plate stand that is in the photos of the hand crafted Borden house.

if so, how much would you want for these? As I remember there were several more plates to this set. Do you have more?

I simply cannot read any of the print that is in yellow. Can that be changed to a color that stands out more? Thanks so much, Leslie

    Hi Faye,

Any chance of buying a copy of the Lizzie Borden Research Reference CD? I see they are all sold and wondered if you could burn another copy?

    Hi Faye,
I noticed that you only have two sets of the preliminary hearing transcripts. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to hold on to one for me until the first of the month? I would really love to add that to my collection.
    Thank You,

I am so sorry that we didn’t get together when you came to Fall River. I was very sick at the time and I’m just starting to feel better. I appreciate everything and look forward to reading the book in the upcoming weeks. I enjoy your website and blog entries. I’m eagerly awaiting an update on the Fall River mayoral race!

I have it here you know. Look up on my blog page and note “Lizzie’s Will”. You can highlight it and paste it into WORD and print it out. OR, you can contact the City of Fall River and ask for the City Clerk and ask for a copy to be mailed to you.

I have a charcoal portrait that I believe to be of Lizzie Borden and I have held onto it..trying to locate someone with knowledge on this matter. I found the Portrait in the back room all by itself on the wall of an antique shop somewhere in Connecticut. I believe it to be from the 1800s. When I walked into this room and saw this portrait, I said to myself oh my goodness…that’s Lizzie Borden and until this day I still believe that it is a portrait of her. The antique shop had no information on it and no idea who it could possibly be. I would greatly appreciate any information you could offer and can also send you photos of the portrait. There is a signature on the bottom that I can not identify, I believe it may be in french….not sure. My email is Thank You

Hello ! I have an antique atlas of Fall River, showing the Borden estates, pre-slaughter. I am looking for an audience to sell this sweet little find with. Would you be interested in any % finders fee if we can discuss it?

I’m looking for a photo of Lizzie to frame, would like an 8×10 if possible. Tried ebay and couldn’t find one. Do you have any for sale?

    • phayemuss

      January 11, 2015 at 11:43 PM

Nancy, you can find a couple hundred just by Googling “Lizzie Borden” and then clicking “Images”. Find a clear one and cut and paste to desktop. “Photoshop” if you want or just print it out on 8-1/2 x 11 photo paper. 🙂 I’ve sold all the ones I had – which were 2nd and 3rd generation prints from the originals at the Falll River Historical Society.

I haven’t been here in a while, but thought of this blog when I noticed a copy of Porter’s book for sale on eBay – – starting bid is $999.99.

    • phayemuss

      June 22, 2015 at 9:32 PM

Way overpriced. Maybe 20 years ago someone would have paid that much….but it’s value has dropped considerably over the past two decades. There’s plenty of them “out there”. I have had as many as 4 at once in my possession – have sold 2 on eBay, gave one as a gift to a friend, acquired two others, sold one on another auction site for $600 three years ago and still have two originals. I’ll be very surprised it sells for that “asking” price.
